Testify with us! Demand an adequate budget for Counsel At First Appearance for Travis County Jail Detainees
Grassroots Leadership, the Foundation for the Austin Sanctuary Network, VOCAL Texas, the Austin Area Urban League, Advocates for Social Justice Reform, Equity Action and others, in collaboration with concerned Central Texas residents, are calling for immediate action from Travis County officials regarding the implementation of Counsel At First Appearance (CAFA) for all detainees in the Travis County Jail.
Public Testimony for Immigration Protections Resolution
August 29th, the Austin City Council will decide on meaningful resolutions that, if passed, will be a great step in ensuring not only everyone in our city has access to representation when detained, we're also taking a stand against harmful SB4. We need your support to ensure Resolutions 134 and 143 pass!
